The Push-Up Challenge

July 28, 2022

This June, Grounded participated in The Push-Up Challenge, Australia’s largest mental health and fitness initiate, created to promote awareness and raise funds for mental health and suicide prevention.

Grounded was particularly motivated to participate in The Push Up Challenge as diminished mental health has become a growing problem within the mining industry. Grounded wanted to do its part to support people in crisis, help to break down stigmas and shine a spotlight on mental health and the impact of suicide.

Grounded staff were given daily and weekly tasks over a period of 24 days to complete a total of3,139 push-ups, which represents the number of lives lost to suicide in 2020 across Australia.

Grounded is extremely proud to have raised over $2000 for Lifeline WA, a vital service that provides all Western Australians with 24-hour access to crisis support and suicide prevention services.
