Cataby Village

Iluka Resources engaged Grounded to construct a 260 person mining village for Tronox Limited for the Cataby Mineral Sands project.

Delivered ahead of schedule, the Greenfield site required bulk earthworks, concreting, sealed roads and the transport of buildings. Turnkey operations integrated landscaping, building and recreational facilities.

In a contoured and spacious design, generous outdoor and sporting facilities were constructed including a swimming pool, tennis court, gymnasium and BBQ, allowing for workers on site to enjoy a healthy experience during their time off.

As with all Grounded projects, best practice methods were used to install accommodation facilities, waste and water treatment plants, electrical, plumbing, communications, bitumen roads, line-marking, car parks and a maintenance shed.
